Today was a Marvelous Monday with beautiful snowflakes falling! This morning we worked really hard practicing our cursive letters. The third graders worked on forming letters a, g and d. In third grade math, we learned about lots of shortcuts for multiplication. Tonight your child will bring home a very colorful multiplication chart that we created today to share with you. This afternoon, we and discussed a great story entitled Sing to the Stars. Ask your child to share with you details of the story. This afternoon we enjoyed Ed TEch and Spanish!

4TH GRADERS BATTLE MOODLE: I have set up a Battle of the Books Forums for you to use at least once each week. You can discuss the stories with any of the 8 classroom students participating in Battle. So someone in our class can be discussing a book with someone from Mrs. Frishman's class or any other 3/4 classroom. This forum is a place where you and other students can discuss any Battle book. You can ask questions for other to answer and reply to other student's comments and questions. This will be a great way for you to prepare for the Battle. This forum should only be used to discuss the Battle Books. Remember that you can post from home!

Today was a Fantastic Friday! We began the day with a wonderful theatrical presentation by the Rising Stars drama group. The students sat and listened so nicely. They had lots of good questions to ask the actors after their performance.

These items would also just have to fall into my classroom and I would not know how they got there!!! Thank you for your generosity. I appreciate you!!!

SUPPLIES...I have had several kind parents email me to ask what they can donate to our classroom. Thank you, but I am not allowed to ask for donations! However, if you are at the store and things just happen to fall into your cart, we always are in need of paper towel, Kleenex, pencils, and Lysol wipes. These items would also just have to fall into my classroom and I would not know how they got there!!! Thank you for your generosity. I appreciate you!!!



REFLECTIONS CONTEST...Feeling creative? Are you good at Art, dance, photography, writing, music or movie making? Then you should seriously consider entering this year’s Reflections competition: This year’s theme is “WOW!” Please pick up an entry form packet from your teacher, or the office. The deadline for all entries is December 9th.


PARENT REPRESENTATIVE…Would you be available on Sunday to act as a parent representative in our classroom during open house? Open house is from 1-3. If you can stay the entire time or a portion of the time, we would appreciate having your help! I will be in the room with you as well as a few of our students. Your job would be to answer questions from a parent perspective and tell parents all of the positive things you have experienced here at BCS!!! We all voted today on Moodle in our 3/4 Presidential Election. Everyone had to register and show their voter identification card to enter the polling precinct. IT was fun! This morning the fourth graders learned all about Battle of the Books…ask your child to share all of the details with you tonight. Most 4th graders checked out Battle books an d already love them! Tomorrow is the Presidential Election…go with your parents to vote and learn about the process! I will miss you tomorrow and will be working hard on your report cards.
